anchor_time_rule

Term URI: https://w3id.org/agent-evidence/vocab/v1/anchor_time_rule

Section: evidence_dimensions. Criticality: critical.

The rule by which a commitment_anchor's ceiling is derived, and the required companion of commitment_anchor: anchored, header_time_plus_tolerance means ceiling = anchor_time + anchor_time_tolerance_s (right where the clock states its own accuracy, as an RFC 3161 TSA does; for Bitcoin only a convention, since nothing caps how far a header time may lag). later_median means ceiling = the median time of the 11 blocks after the anchor block, on the stated assumption that a majority of those timestamps are honest. height means the outcome is ordered by the same chain, and precedence holds only if the anchor height is strictly below the outcome height, with no time compared. Absent means header_time_plus_tolerance, for records written before the field existed. A rule whose inputs are missing establishes nothing.
